Bangladesh finish fifth in SA Games gold tally


They achieved a record 19 gold medals this time, beating their previous highest of 18 gold medals, which they achieved in the 2010 South Asian Games.

Bangladesh have finished the 13th South Asian Games in Nepal in fifth place in terms of gold medals won. 

They achieved a record 19 gold medals this time, beating their previous highest of 18 gold medals, which they achieved in the 2010 South Asian Games. 

The medals for Bangladesh came mostly from where they won all 10 gold medals from the 10 available events. 

On the other hand, the men and women also won gold in cricket. 

India topped the table with 174 gold medals while Nepal (51), Sri Lanka (40) and Pakistan (31) were second, third and fourth respectively.
